"Joy in the Ark" Prayer & Fasting

The Ark is embarking on a 15-day corporate prayer and fasting siege, continuing from now until January 31, 2022. Mama Vera encourages all who are able to do a Daniel Fast. The theme of the prayer and fasting siege is: “Joy in the Ark!” With the joyous announcement of our new Senior Pastors (to be installed in March 2022), it is evident the Ark is entering a new season. Mama Vera felt a strong exhortation from the Lord for us to corporately and personally prepare our hearts for the new season by cultivating and releasing JOY over the Ark. Daily Scriptures will be posted on the new Ark app, with a members group thread that you can leave a comment on!

Pastor Robert Daniels and Vince MaCarrie will be will be leading a powerful time of teaching, prophetic ministry, and exhortation to strengthen and edify our brothers in Christ. This retreat will provide an opportunity for the men to receive from trusted father figures and friends. It will also be a wonderful opportunity for the men to build community and to fellowship with one another, as well as to share and ask honest questions in a safe and brave space. We pray this retreat would encourage, strengthen, and empower you. We pray this retreat would ignore vision and gifts within. We pray you would leave feeling “full” (literally and spiritually!) and further equipped to follow God in whatever sphere or season of life you are in.

Learning to be disciples of Christ and growing towards spiritual maturity is a lifelong journey. We are excited to be entering this season of acceleration and focus for us to "double down" on our resolve to follow Jesus no matter the cost. Pastor Vera will kick off our new weekly discipleship class, with a 6-8 week series based on the book "Follower: Becoming More Than Just a Fan of Jesus" by Kyle Idleman. The class will be held every Wednesday on Zoom (including 2nd Wednesdays).

The class is open to all Arkers who have expressed commitment to the rebuilding season, or have communicated to us that they are still in process / undecided. We will provide a copy of the book for all participants. Please pick up your copy of the book at service on Sunday July 4th or email admin@arkministries.org for a Kindle copy.

As Pastor Vera puts it: "there’s nothing like a good fast to cleanse us out of every season and into the next one." Let’s posture ourselves in readiness, preparation, and joyful anticipation for the move of His Spirit as He aligns us to His will, unites us in His Spirit and activates us in the gifts of the Spirit. We will embark on a 10-day fast with daily prayer prompts to seek God together and stoke the flames of fiery love for our first love.

Prayer prompts will be available online via the link below. These will also be emailed to you daily. We encourage you to comment and share what you have received from the Lord on the posts!

On Wednesdays July 7 and 14, we will meet online via Zoom to pray together and seek the Lord.

In this season of rebuilding, we will prioritize the pursuit of His presence, growing in the ministry and gifts of the Holy Spirit, being discipled through the Word of God. Beginning July, we will dedicate outdoor services on the 1st Sundays of the month to corporate prophetic prayer and worship, seeking His will and exalting His name.

We will also be ordering individually portioned barbeque dinner for a time of fellowship after service on July 4th. Please RSVP by July 27 and indicate if you would like dinner by filling out the registration form below.

Jesus calls us “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.” Ark Ministries of Berkeley is hosting a seminar to explore how you can let your light “shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Join us in exploring questions such as:

  • How does your work intertwine with your calling?

  • How can you be salt and light in the workplace?

  • What does evangelism look like in the marketplace (and in a remote work setting)?

  • What does love look like in the midst of conflict and competition in the workplace?

Hear from accomplished business and tech leaders in the Bay Area whose lives are, first and foremost, committed to loving God and people well. Building a Tiny House Village for Homeless Youth

Our Father in Heaven longs to express His mercy & compassion to a hurting word through us. This fall, we have a unique opportunity to reflect Him as a Good Father who provides and protects by building tiny houses for local homeless youth. The Tiny House Village project is led by Youth Spirit Artworks. We will be doing hands-on construction and painting tasks alongside other volunteers, and take any open doors to share who Jesus is with them!

On December 5, we will help the youth them move into their brand new home!
